Spiritual-Parish Life Committee
Function and Structure
Purpose:
To advise the Pastor, Parish Pastoral Council and Parish Staff
on spiritual and parish life issues.
Functions:
1. The committee
will identify the needs and interests of the parish concerning
its spiritual and community life on the broadest level possible.
2. The committee will consider and suggest programs and/or
activities that meet the needs and interests across all generations
of parish members.
3. The ultimate approval of programs and activities rests
with the Pastor, in consultation with the Parish Pastoral
Council and in collaboration with the Parish Staff.
4. A member of the committee will keep minutes of meetings
and provide them to the Pastor and the pastoral associate.
Membership:
1. The Spiritual/Parish
Life Committee consists of members serving for two years.
2. The Spiritual/Parish Life Committee members are called
forward through invitation by the Pastor. The Pastor will
seek members through consultation with the Parish Pastoral
Council and other parishioners.
3. The members shall be composed of persons attuned to the
spiritual and community life of the parish.
4. The pastoral associate acts as liaison to the Pastor, pastoral
staff and the parish pastoral council.
5. A member’s term of service is automatically renewed
upon mutual agreement of the member and the pastor.
Commitments and
Obligations:
1. The
Spiritual-Parish Life Committee shall meet in the months January,
March, May, July, September and November.
2. Members are expected to attend regularly scheduled meetings.
3. Members may be invited to serve on sub-committees or perform
other duties in service to the parish and/or the pastor on
an ad hoc basis. |

St. Julie Billiart Outreach Committee
Purpose:
To assist
the Pastor and Parish Pastoral Council in areas of community
and
parish outreach issues.
Functions:
1. The committee
will answer the questions:
- What is happening in our community?
- What is Christ calling us to do in our community?
2. To work
in the areas of Charity such as but not limited to: feeding
the hungry, clothing drives for the poor and Habitat for Humanity.
3. To work
in areas of Social Justice such as but not limited to: Legislative
Advocacy (petition drives); Global Solidarity (immigration);
Letter writing campaigns, Systemic changes in Local, State
and National Government..
4. Keep minutes
of meetings and provide them to pastor.
Membership:
1. Outreach
Committee consists of 5 to 7 members. No term limit has been
set.
2. The Outreach Committee chair will serve a two year term.
3. Outreach Committee members are called forward through invitation
by the Pastor. The Pastor will seek members through consultation
with the Pastoral Council.
4. The Pastoral Associate of the parish acts as liaison to
the pastor and parish pastoral council.
5. A member’s term of service is automatically renewed

Facilities Committee shall meet monthly.
2. Members are expected to attend regularly scheduled meetings.

St. Julie Billiart Ministry of Praise Committee
Purpose:
To give senior, homebound members an opportunity to give back
to the church and feel useful. Younger person may also participate.
Functions:
1. Sign up. Be enrolled.
2. Pray daily.
A behind the scenes “power house”.
Membership:
1. Ministry of Praise is open to any member of the parish.
2. The Pastoral
Associate of the parish acts as liaison to the pastor and
parish pastoral council.
Commitments and
Obligations:
1. Pastoral Associate writes a monthly letter with prayer
requests to each member.
2. The members
are given a cross, prayer book, and certificate.
3. Members
shall pray daily as requested in monthly letter.

St.
Julie Billiart ACES (Active Christian Enthusiastic Seniors)
Committee
Purpose:
To provide social and spiritual growth for senior members
of our parish.
This is a group of senior citizens meeting monthly on the 2nd Thursday of each month from September through May. The organization is directed by a decision making Board formed from eight “ACES” members.
The meeting is from 1:00-3:00 PM in the St. Stephen Hall of the Fenmont Center. There are various activities and group trips to places of special interest. No registration required.
All are welcome including guests from other parishes. No special age requirement!
