We’re coming to you a day early to remind you of Ash Wednesday tomorrow. Mass at St. Julie’s will be at 12:00 in English (7:00 Español). There will still be the distribution of ashes, as is customary. A reminder that Ash Wednesday is a day of fasting and abstinence, and all Fridays in Lent are days of abstinence.
Here’s some news from the archdiocese:
SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE – Bring hope to those in need by volunteering with Heart of Mary Respite and Companion program or our Caregiver Assistance Network. Enrich your life as well as the lives of others by offering much needed support to the homebound and their caregivers. Safe, flexible, remote or in-person opportunities are available with varying levels of commitment. All volunteers will receive training and support. Join us in our mission to serve, enlighten and empower. “If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.” (Ps 95:7-8) For more information, please contact Stephanie Slack at 513.535.2291 or apply online at https://tinyurl.com/CCSWOHSCSS. Heart of Mary Respite and Companion Services and the Caregiver Assistance Network are programs of Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio funded through Community Care Corps and the Council on Aging.
PRAYING IN SOLIDARITY WITH CATHOLIC CHARITIES SOUTHWESTERN OHIO – As we continue through uncertain times, prayer is a source of strength and hope, and of solidarity with others in need. Every Monday at 11:00 AM, Catholic Charities leads a brief “Praying in Solidarity” service on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/CatholicCharitiesSWOhio (which is saved for viewing at any time). During the prayer, the needs of our local community are lifted. To submit a prayer, go to http://ccswoh.org/prayers, and they will be included in a service. Intentions may be submitted in English, Spanish or French.
Have a good week.
