How Are You Using “FORMED”

Dear Families,

It’s often described as Catholic Netflix. It’s a gift from our Hamilton Catholic Pastoral Region. And we hope you’re enjoying it. It’s FORMED, the online subscription to Catholic programming, movies, e-books, and audio talks. Have you created an account on FORMED?

We’d like to know how you are using FORMED. Would you consider sharing a short review of a program, movie, e-book, or audio that you have enjoyed? We would like to publish your review in upcoming newsletters, bulletins, or on our parish websites and social media, as a way to encourage others in our pastoral region to use FORMED and begin growing stronger in the Catholic faith.

If you have not already done so, we ask you to make your FORMED account today. Go to, and create your account with your email and a password of your choosing. Once you’ve done that, you can also download the FORMED app on your smart phone or tablet. Then check out all the FORMED has to offer.

Find something that interests you, watch, listen, or read, then write a short review. A sentence or two would be great. Get your children involved, too! There are kid-friendly options such as the Brother Francis series and short movies and cartoons about the saints. Email your review to me,, and I’ll take care of the rest.

Thank you,

Mary Richter

Help St. Julie Parish Gain Laudato Si Recognition

Help St. Julie Parish gain recognition from the Archdiocese for our efforts to conserve, recycle and reuse materials. The survey for our parish buildings is complete. We’ve hosted Sr. Carol Jean Willie as a speaker at ACES and now we are looking forward to St. Julie parishioners filling out the household survey. Your participation is what counts for the parish to gain the Laudato Si Recognition. A Special Summer Retreat for Life Teen

Join us for Steubenville Atlanta!
A special summer retreat for LIFE TEEN – Current 8th-12th graders

July 12-14, 2019

“See what love the Father has bestowed on us,
that we may be called children of God.” -1 John 3:1

At the core of our being is a desire for meaningful connection and authentic relationship. We long to love and be loved, but how often do we just feel lonely?

As we search for ways to escape these feelings of isolation, there comes a small, quiet whisper that pierces through to the depths of our heart: “You are never alone, because you are Mine.”

This summer, over 50,000 Catholic teens across North America will attend one of 24 Steubenville Youth Conferences to encounter the God who calls us His sons and daughters. Come and experience His overwhelming love for you. You belong here.

Conference Cost – Deposit Amount: $50 due by January 15th

Rest of cost: TBA. They are giving us 5 free youth conference registrations, so we are going to base our cost on how many people sign up, so we can all share the cost.

($185 is the base fee set by the conference.)

Transportation Cost

We have estimated about $400 per 12 passenger van. Cost will be split among attendees unless we receive a donation.

Hotel Cost – To be determined – but we do get a discounted rate.

(This will be in addition to the Conference cost.)

Randi Hom, our high school youth minister is leading this retreat. This will be her 16th Steubenville Conference and her 2nd time to the Atlanta Conference. We will need other adults to go with us. All adults must be Virtus trained and abide by the Decree on Child Protection.

Registration commitment is due by January 8th – no exceptions. Call Randi Hom to register at 513-594-1168.

We will be fundraising in order to make this happen and unless you can pay your entire cost, you must help fundraise for the group. If you register and then decide not to go, you are responsible for the cost of your spot.

More information will be given as we receive it. If you have any questions, please contact Randi Hom at 513-594-1168.
