During this time of year we often want to give back to show forth our gratitude.  St. Julie’s will be collecting canned goods and other dry goods this weekend and next weekend to be delivered to Serve City.  St. Peter in Chains supports a food pantry through their St. Vincent de Paul and provides Thanksgiving baskets to needy families in West Hamilton.  Donations to St. Peter this month and at the Thanksgiving Day Mass will support that work.

Sunday is Veteran’s day.  We honor those who have served in the armed forces.  Those who have been in war situations often have seen horrors and the consequences of sin in ways that many of us never will.  Yet, it is their vigilance that provides our feeling of security.  Thank you, veterans.

During the month of November we remember the dead.  If you have a place of prayer in your home, you might light a candle in front of a picture of your loved ones who have died.  Pray for them.  Please pray for all the poor souls in purgatory.  Firm is our hope in the resurrection, for Jesus was the first to rise from the dead.

St. Julie’s pastoral council will meet on Tuesday of this week, and St. Joseph’s pastoral council will meet on Wednesday of this week.

If you are engaged and plan to be married at one of our three churches in 2019 please contact the parish office.

What a joy to know, love, and serve the good God.
